Cill Rialaig | Ireland

artist's residency 2015

Cill Rialaig is a remote village that was built in the 18th century and abandoned in the mid 19th. In 1992 Noelle Campbell-Sharp created the Cill Rialaig Project, restoring most houses while leaving part of the village in ruins. During the residency a group made up of artists from various parts of the world occupy the village forming a minute and improvised community.
