There works belong to a larger project about myself, starting long before I was born.

'The Age of Innocence' is a personal collaboration between a set of photo taken by my grandfather in Portugal in the 20s and 30s and myself.

In 1940, the life of my mother's family changed from sun and art and confidence, life in Lisbon with Sunday outings to the beach in Cascais and a cat fed on fresh fish to deportation, war, loss of home and belongings and the misery that comes with them.

My aim was to create spaces where the present could interfere with the past, where the existance of absent environments and persons could be brought into contact with my present life.
